Day 1: Arrival – Arusha or to Makuyuni (Transfer Day)

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, or directly from your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will either: Option A (If Late Arrival at Airport): • Airport Transfer to Kutoka Lodge in Arusha for overnight stay. • Dinner at the lodge and briefing about the upcoming cycling adventure. • Bike fitting & safety briefing at the lodge (done this evening or following morning). Option B (If Early Arrival or Already in Arusha): • Pick up from airport or from lodge in Arusha and transfer by car to Makuyuni. • Check-in at Maasai Eco Boma Lodge and relax after your journey. • Dinner at the lodge and briefing about the upcoming cycling adventure. • Introduction to Maasai culture and the surrounding Rift Valley landscape. Alternative Option – Extra Cost: As an alternative, we can organize a complete bike journey from Arusha to Makuyuni instead of vehicle transfer. Day 2: Arusha or Makuyuni – Morano View Lodge (Maasai Highlands Ride)

Morning (if Option A above) • Early breakfast at the lodge and then transfer by car to Makuyuni to start your bike trip. • Start cycling from Makuyuni into the Maasai highlands, riding through open savannah and traditional Maasai settlements. • Possibility to spot wildlife such as zebra, giraffe, dik-dik, and hyenas along the way. Morning (if Option B above) • Breakfast at the lodge and bike fitting & safety briefing. • Start cycling into the Maasai highlands, riding through open savannah and traditional Maasai settlements. • Possibility to spot wildlife such as zebra, giraffe, dik-dik, and hyenas along the way. Noon & Afternoon • Stopover at a local Maasai boma on the way for local lunch and tea, offering a chance to interact with local families. • Continue cycling through rolling hills and dramatic Rift Valley scenery. • Arrival at Morano View Lodge with breathtaking panoramic views. Evening • Free time to relax, enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, or watch the sunset over the Rift Valley. • Bonfire in the evening and dinner at the lodge under the African stars.

Day 3: Morano View Lodge – Mto wa Mbu – Kambia Simba (Cultural Homestay Day)

Early Morning • Early breakfast and start cycling downhill towards Mto wa Mbu, one of the most culturally diverse villages in Tanzania. Morning / Noon • Stop in Mto wa Mbu to taste the famous local bananas and enjoy a short village walk. • Continue cycling along the Great Rift Valley road towards Kambia Simba. We stop at Lake Manyara Viewpoint along the way to take in the breathtaking views. • Arrival at the home of Mama and Baba Pasco, where a warm village welcome awaits. Noon / Afternoon - Cultural Activities • Enjoy a home-cooked local lunch prepared by the family. • Participate in daily farm activities such farming, harvesting or a village walk. Try cattle plowing if the season is for it! • Set up tents in the family garden for an authentic rural overnight experience. Evening • Join Mama Pasco in preparing a tasty local dinner. Learn some traditional Tanzanian recipes! •Share stories, laughter, and cultural exchange with the family and your guide over dinner.

Day 4: Kambia Simba (Mama & Baba Pasco) – Karatu (Great Rift Valley Ride)

Morning • Early morning activities with the family, such as milking cows, preparing breakfast or herding cattle. • Enjoy breakfast with the family before departure. • Bike ride to the edge of the Great Rift Valley and take in the last views of the magnificent landscape! Noon / Afternoon • From the edge of the Great Rift Valley, you will bike via scenic back roads through Rhotia and rural farming villages to Gilalahai360 Lodge, enjoying beautiful highland landscapes and authentic village life along the way. • Arrival at the lodge for refreshments and lunch. • Then check-in with time to relax, enjoy panoramic sunset views, or take a walk in nature. Evening • Unwind with a delicious dinner at the lodge, reflecting on your journey while sharing stories and memorable moments with your fellow travellers. • Overnight stay at Gilalahai360 Lodge, surrounded by serene highland landscapes

Day 5: End of Cultural Bike Trip (Optional Safari extension)

Morning • Enjoy breakfast at Gilalahai360 Lodge with panoramic views of the highlands. • After breakfast, choose one of the following options: Option A: Transfer back to Arusha by vehicle (included in the trip price). Option B: Continue your adventure with a safari extension to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, or Serengeti (extra cost – see our safari packages for pricing). End of Tour Day 5 marks the conclusion of your Great Rift Valley cycling journey, leaving you with memories of scenic rides, cultural encounters, and authentic village experiences.
